A few months ago, speculation arose that
targeted Lithuania as one of the prime new locations for growth by the
online gambling industry, with Intralot Interactive announcing this week
that they secured access to the market. The Interactive is a division of
the Greek online gambling software developer Intralot and confirmed this
week that they were able to secure a contract with the lottery operator
Olifeja, the key piece needed to be eligible for an operating license for
the Baltic country. The contract signed between Intralot Interactive and Olifeja will be intact for the next three years, plenty of time for the market to get a good taste of excellence in an online gambling platform. There is already built into the contract a possibility of extending the agreement for another two years if all goes well. The services outlined in the new partnership run the gambit, beginning with a complete player management system and outlining the plan to integrate existing applications from both frameworks. A complete menu of games will be provided to excited Lithuanian gamblers, including classic favorites such as keno, bingo, and fun-poker as well as scratch and instant titles. Olifeja is the perfect partner for an online gambling company looking to move into the Lithuanian market, as it controls 95 percent of the lottery market there, operating over a network of 1,800 point of sale venues. They have their hands in television version of keno and bingo games as well. “We are really pleased with our agreement with Olifeja,” said George Zenzefilis, general director for Intralot Interactive. “We are confident that we will have a win-win collaboration providing our state-of-the-art technology, our expertise and our dedicated team that will support Olifeja in its efforts to expand further its business in the highly lucrative interactive gaming market.” |
