It seems that the trend for this week in
particular is the launching of internet poker rooms, with new
introductions being make not only in the French online gambling market
(see previous Online Casino Style articles) but also in the UK. The most
recent new contribution to the poker community is provided by the UK-based
firm Jolt Online Gaming, which launched Jolt Poker.com this week, with the
cooperation and software from Enterra-Poker.com. Enterra, a Russian company, seems the most unlikely of partners as there is currently a national ban on all gambling – not only online casinos – in the icy region, as the government has attempted to limit all betting to four remote gambling areas. Apparently, it is still legal to develop and distribute internet casino programming, as the firm has exclusive rights to all games associated with the new poker room. The site’s initial version has been limitedly available some time, with the beta version of the poker room just becoming available this week on a larger scale than previously offered. The levels of interactivity and full player services are significantly more generous on this new version, assuredly to please more customers. Members will like the fact that the games are Flash-based, meaning no wait or downloads to play poker; both ring and sit and go tournaments are available. Private games can also be launched to enhance the social elements of online gambling with Jolt, and the new system has an integrated system for scores rankings, prizes and instant-play versatility. "We carefully crafted this software package to ensure it was specifically suited for the Jolt Online Gaming community, using the latest web technologies to make games that fans will find entertaining to play no matter whether they are novices or experienced players,” said Enterra CEO Dmitry Starostenkov. |
