continued from Greenlight Stats Released - 1 In addition to general statistics, Greenlight also compiled their quarterly league tables, charting out in a comparative manner the best brands and the most effective websites. The findings are divided up between paid searches, and natural searches, keeping in mind general online visibility to consumers in relation to some of the most popular internet gambling terms entered into Google’s search engine. The fact that online gambling ranks so high is no small feat, given the prevalence of online searches in the world today, especially in the UK. Poker accounted for the majority of interests, generating more than 773,000 searches, and taking up 32 percent of all the gaming entries. This was a boost to the game’s ego, as despite some opinions that the world of poker might be reaching its saturation point for the internet gambling industry, it was the only sector to retain its hold on the market from previous months. Online casino interests accounted for 20 percent of the key terms, while bingo topped even them with 24 percent of the interest. Both were drops compared with the numbers generated in March, where they took up 24 and 26 percent of the searches. Of the individual websites, 888.com managed to attract an increase of searches, generating 2 percent more entries than in March. For the keyword ‘casino’ 34 percent of the time, they were the top choice, though it was replaced by Wikipedia as the most visible website on the internet. Ladbrokes held position three, jumping up 13 percent in its visibility since March, and closing the game on its competitor 888.com. |
