Hit increased further when the Main Event took center stage towards the end of the month. The activity jumped the numbers to 13.4 million, an 11 percent gain over the previous month of June. "The World Series of Poker tournament brought out the competitive side of Americans in July, prompting millions to visit online gambling sites to test their card-playing skills," said Jeff Hackett, senior vice president of comScore Media Metrix. Leaders for the websites visited were led by Poker Stars, an online poker site with 2.4 million visitors. Full Tilt Poker wasn’t too far behind, logging 2.3 million hits, followed by Kingolotto and UltimateBet.com.
