A report came in this week for the
internet gambling world, calling due attention to a fact that many
industry analysts had already known, that the mobile gaming sector is
exploding in one particular category as app after app is being introduced
on a range of networks related to internet casinos. Anyone paying even
slight attention to the news being published in regards to the industry
will note that weekly, if not daily new applications are being launched,
ever expanding the mobile gaming network, a trend that will see no slowing
in the next two years, according to at least one source. Its good news for mobile gaming reps, as the growth in the market will mean big revenues for them over the next few years. A report was issued this week by the research and analysis firm Research 2 Guidance, which predicted that as fast-growing as the market has been in the first half of 2010, the second half will be even more so. With the first half of the year generating nearly $2.2 billion in revenues, that number will surge and grow to an amazing $15 billion by the year 2013 if the trend continues – something that seems inevitable as there have been no signs of slowing. Research 2 Guidance, a company based out of Berlin, Germany, reported that the number of apps had reached truly impressive numbers, with more than 3.8 billion applications across the board being downloaded during the first half of the year. Considering that a total of 3.1 billion apps were downloaded during all of 2009, the statistics speak for themselves. Their predictions for growth and success were similarly backed by recent opinions submitted by the mobile app store Pocket Gear, which claimed that the revenues being generated by the applications for mobile devices could soar to as high as $20 billion by 2013. |
