Though the brand name of GB Group might
not be among the first that come to mind when thinking of the internet
gambling industry, the organization has been steadily increasing its
clientele from the industry in recent months, developing a rock-solid
reputation when it comes to providing identity verification services.
Based out of Chester, United Kingdom, GB Group confirmed this week that
they were successful in their bid for the business of yet another internet
casino group, signing on with the online sports book 12Bet.com, a site
that is mostly Asian-facing in their targeted business. Though 12Bet has up until now been primarily active in catering to Asian markets, they recently launched a European operation, based out of the Isle of Man. The new branch will incorporate into their platform the software provided by GB Group’s ID3 technology. The system is powerful enough to verify more than 800 million people’s identification throughout more than 26 different countries around the globe. The platform will also give 12Bet.com the power to block customer use from nations that they do not want to do business, such as countries like China, where online gambling is largely illegal under penalty of law. “Following our strategic entry into the European market, a key requirement for us was to be able to accurately verify identities across borders,” said the European Chief Excutive Officer for 12Bet.com, Rory Anderson. “GB Groups ID verification solution perfectly complements our anti-fraud policies and procedures, helping us to achieve our goal.” GB Group has collected quite the cliente list in recent months, as it now includes the likes of BBC Tv, HMRC, Lloyd’s TBS and other, larger internet casinos like Ladbrokes. 12Bet’s sports betting services include a range of events but primarily target the sport of football, covering more than 75 different leagues and hosting bets for more than 7,000 events on average every month. |
