Another social gaming company has
apparently decided that the time is right to branch out to the world of
online gambling this week, with the formal announcement from Yazino that
they will be launching a stand-alone, full-service internet casino in the
near future. It’s a move that has been in the plans since the firm’s
inception in 2008, as their goal and business plan rely on bridging the
gap between the very best elements of online gambling with those of social
networking. The bonus that Yazino has over other sites launching similar online gambling platforms is that they already have a faithful player base, developed through their performance of games on Facebook and Twitter. With 200,000 already on the books, Yazino is in a perfect position to make sure that the tentative time immediately following a new internet casino’s introduction goes particularly well. The new site will host cash versions of some of the most popular games offered through the social sites, in addition to more traditional online gambling selections like Texas Hold’Em, internet slots, blackjack and even roulette. Play-for-Fun versions are already being introduced in their existing formats, with a statement from the company confirming that the new online casino will host cash versions to be up and running within the next year. Since the launch of Yazino in 2008, the goal has remained the same, bringing online gambling and internet social elements closer together, said the chief executive of the brand, Hussein Chahine. It was launched by three friends who agreed on this one notion, and continue to do so today, creating a new hybrid category of online entertainment. The company Yazino is based out of the UK, though they do have offices operating out of Dublin, Ireland. The firm is still privately held, with around 40 employees on their payroll. But their love for social networking doesn’t mean they are unfamiliar to internet gambling; their operations director, Mark Munsone came from a background of online casinos, having once been employed by Ladbrokes. |
