While some online gambling experts are
suggesting that the world of internet poker might possibly be reaching its
saturation point, it hasn’t stopped other companies from continuing to
launch new projects related to the virtual card game. The latest
contribution comes this week courtesy of a television channel as the UK
horseracing channel At The Races partnered up just recently with the
online gambling group Genting in order to launch a poker offering. The new poker source will be exclusive for the internet gamblers in the UK, and designed to cater to those bettors who appreciate a range of gambling products, with poker, blackjack and horse racing being highlighted in the coming months. The new project has already been named and will be billed as ATR Poker Club.com, with a contract having already been signed for the new host of the site, Sean Boyce, formally known for his presentations on the Sky Poker site. A statement from the company confirmed the partnership with Genting, a smaller provider who will be able to give the burgeoning website all the attention they need as they grow within the online gambling community. Live tournaments are already in the works, to be hosted in the coming weeks, with the in-person versions to be broadcast on the At The Races channel. The new partnership also has the intention of launching a whole sports betting operation if the poker site goes well, giving players even more flexibility in the future. Boyce commented this week: “It’s a fantastic idea,” said Boyce in relation to the press statement. “As a passionate poker player, I’ve always been a firm believer that the game makes us all better bettors and every one I know loves the thrill that both racing and poker provides. Now, playing blackjack or poker online with the ATR Clubs combines my love of horse racing with my fascination with poker, and offers everyone great opportunities to enjoy a day at the races.” |
