It seems that young poker players
seem to be the winners of the week as yet another youth comes out on top
in a big way, winning the ‘Drive the Dream’ promotion hosted at online
casino Party Poker.com. The grand prize was awarded to 19-year old
cartography student Marek Sisnowski, the winner of an Aston Martin DB9
coupe in Krakow, Poland. The life-changing tale took place over the weekend, with the Polish player completing a freeroll in a nine hand shootout at the Mint Casino in London, England. Ironically, he doesn’t even hold a driver’s license, leading him to the decision to take the $150,000 cash payout instead of the new car. The youth differs from some of the other poker prodigies who have made it into the internet gambling news in that he is neither a professional, nor even very experienced in the game, having only just recently hired a poker trainer to increase his skill level. “It paid off!” he exclaimed in an interview after having won the promotion. "This is madness, I don't quite know what to do - I cannot believe I won this without investing a penny. I have my driving test next week so I thought it would be best to take the money! An Aston Martin is an amazing car but I was thinking I would get an Audi TT instead when I pass my test. I took my preparation for the event really seriously. I have been reading books.” He did manage to earn his place, taking down a range of players from six different countries. The second place winner was none other than Bob Gipson, out of the UK, though all of the final nine were guaranteed prizes for their efforts. Online freerolls are one of the favorite highlights at the online casino Party Poker.com, with the Drive the Dream promotional games running from April through September. |
