Cake Poker is arguably one of the top
resources for internet poker sites recently with the group confirming to
inquiries from the online gambling forums this week that they had indeed
signed yet another poker site to their membership. The most recent
operator to sign up under the Cake banner was that of SunGame, an
Asian-based internet gambling company, which runs the poker site Poker
King.com. One of the key elements to the decision for SunGame and Poker King was the fact that Cake Poker is one of just a few internet poker networks that offer their services in Asian languages and currencies. In addition to poker games, the newly assigned site also offers a more full range of online casino products, such as live dealer selections, the classic game of Keno, online slots and a sports book. They even offer finance bets. Even more interesting is the marketing technique that SunGame embarked on last year. In order to build awareness and interest around the game of poker, SunGame took it one step further and produced a movie about the game, called Poker King. It was released last year in Asia. The goal was less to advertise their particular site, the company has said, and more to introduce poker as a game of skill among potential Asian players. "We are very excited and proud to launch our new poker product,' said a SunGame spokesperson this week, in relation to the deal. Concurrently, the Cake Poker network took the opportunity to update their site just a bit, adding a new multi-currency display features, which allows members to check out the whole of their account picture with one click. Details such as account balance, buy-in, bet amounts, and pot size are all easily accessible, and visible together. Cake Partners now also have the choice of selecting which worldwide currencies they want to host. |
