Ultimate Bet online poker website has finally found out who was behind the illegal cheating scam that has plagued the site for years. Increasing their investigations from in-house security by hiring Frank Catania, who was formally the Assistant Attourney General and the director of the New Jersey division of Gaming Enforcement finally gave Ultimate Bet the answers they were seeking: the culprit being named none other than Russell Hamilton. Hamilton is a former World Series of Poker champion himself, and was named a “super user,” by the site. It seems that even the initial team of amateur investigators was on the right track, as Hamilton’s name topped the list of suspects that was handed over to Catania and his team. Hamilton had been associated to the poker website through their affiliate program. Since the mystery has been solved, quick actions will be taken by those authorities in charge of Ultimate Bet, to ensure that such a scam is not able to happen again in future, let alone for the 3 years it took them to catch up to Hamilton. The Kahnawake Gaming Commission, who provides Ultimate Bet with their licensing, has decreed that the site will compensate any and all players who were affected by the episode by the end of next month, giving them a limited amount of time to rectify detailing problems. It has also been mandated that any managers or employess associated with Ultimate Bet who may be deemed “unsuitable,” be removed from their positions. At this time, the final report and conclusion of the case is expected to be completed by next month. |
