It may be hard to believe with the constant increase in online casinos, and with names such as All Slots and Totesport making strong places for themselves, seemingly with ease, it could be possible to forget of the struggle most upstart online companies go through, and casinos are no exception. To the contrary, internet gambling is one of the most difficult businesses to break into. So though it’s a shame, it’s actually no surprise when promising company names such as LazerWager.com go down. The website was created to cater to sports betting, live dealer, and online gambling needs. The corporation lasted only one year, as they announced this week that they’ll be shutting down, mentioning as one of the hurdles the complex needs of servicing both withdrawal and deposits for their players. Evidently, the third party processors that helped LazerWager process the transactions one-by-one pulled out of their contracts, rendering the company incapable of continuing to do business. The defeat was announced to their patrons via their website: “LazerWager.com regrettably announces that it will no longer be in operation.” The explanation following clarified that it was LazerWager’s intention to continue accepting bets through the football season(s), but when their last processor informed them that all assets had been frozen, there was nothing more they could do, but surrender. When initial issues began to arise, management for LazerWager did their best to stay afloat, but as one problem was resolved, more took its place. Concerns multiplied with affiliates, advertisers, and vendors, as it became clear they had a major rift in the deposit/withdrawal system. It should not be assumed that this sort of decline is unique to LazerWager, though; it’s a common means that newer sites have been seen to fail. As the site shuts down, new concerns have arisen, especially for players who have enjoyed accounts through the company. Though management will directly resolve business with advertisers, vendors and the like, the players are in a more delicate position. The teams is asking for patrons to contact them directly at CS@LazerWager.com and include in the email their user name, and real name as well as their account number and e-mail address. Management staff has not yet revealed how they intend to pay out and resolve all the players’ accounts; all questions should be directed to the above email address. |
