The European Poker Tour in London took place this weekend and American poker player Michael Martin reined champion, winning out over 596 players, 234 of them, PokerStars players. He walked away with the prize pot of £1,000,000 from the fifth annual PokerStars.com London event. The win came quickly following an impressive comeback: Martin was down to £95K in chips on the table when his luck changed, and sequential hands gave him the edge he needed to clear out the table in less than 10 minutes. The last hand of the tournament saw Martin up against Swedish PokerStars qualifier Mike Tureniec; Michael had 44, with Tureniec holding K9. The turn gave Michael the 4 he needed to take the competition.
