As the NFL season starts to wind down and teams are vying specifically with the Super Bowl in mind, the Tennessee Titans are the only team to continue staying ahead by not losing any games. They are the last of the unbeaten teams and now have focused on the Super Goal, earning favoritism in most online sportsbetting websites. Their game Sunday against the Green Bay Packers gave fans something to cheer about- Rod Bironas had an active couple of hours, kicking 4 field goals for the Titans including one of 41 yards in overtime to earn the win- and the win came to them with a score of 19-16. Following the game, the online bookies at Betfred updated the rates to place the Titans as tied favorites with the New York Giants at 4/1 odds. The Giants took their game against the Dallas Cowboys with a score of 35-14. Eli Manning played a decent game, completing 3 touchdown passes, and with a grand total of 4 turnovers, the Cowboys had little chance to recover. Giants are 7-1 for the season, while the Cowboys are embarrassed at 5-4. For a team previously so strong, its unusual that the Dallas Cowboys would be reduced to such a tragic display, especially on the offensive side. Since losing quarterback Tony Romo, they’ve struggled to keep even their pride in check as they’ve lost 3 of the last 4 games. Odds for a Super Bowl appearance are down to 25/1. Other potentially viable competitors for the Super Bowl include Pittsburgh, Washington, Philly, and Carolina according to Stan James; all are currently at 12/1 odds. |
