Home History Games News Dictionary		In an innovative move marrying two of the most popular online pastimes, British dating website is partnering with poker website PKR.com to bring singles together for poker tournaments, allowing opportunities for people to meet and play online together. It’s essentially a new tool that creates virtual gambling dates! The 3-D online poker site PKR.com has been known to come up with interesting promotions to bring business in the door, but the deal they’ve struck with Lovestruck.com might be their biggest success yet. The encounters are to include both in-person poker nights, as well as online meet-ups for singles around the world, but mostly based in the UK. The initial event will be held tomorrow, November 6th at the Hoxton Pony in Curtain Road, London. This singles evening’s registration is free and can be accessed through Lovestruck.com. The evening is structured to allow couples an opportunity to meet, mingle and learn to play the game of poker. Dealers are provided at a host of tables to instruct or refresh those to the poker game. After the bash, members will continue to meet up and play at a series of singles only poker tournaments hosted on the PKR website. The singles nights are being advertised as “Lovestruck Evenings” and will jump off November 17th at 8pm. The tournament is also free to enter, and will be followed by three more, with a special low buy-in. Singles wanting to participate need to be signed up with both Lovestruck.com and PKR.com; they will be given a special password to participate. Simon Prodger, speaking on behalf of PKR’s Marketing department had the following to say about the match: “Poker is a very social game and we know our players actively chat both in the game and on our forums. We've seen romance bloom on PKR and so partnering with a site like Lovestruck that caters to young, outgoing professionals is perfect for us.” Awww…
