Apparently, the poker website NextPoker.com has decided that denial is not a strong enough reaction to what they claim are false allegations regarding the existence of a rakebake system connected with their website. The online poker website’s owners Abbantina Malta Ltd have decided to pursue legal action against the accusers- The OnGame Network. Representatives for the Malta group began taking steps by issuing a public statement this week to set the stage, and retaliate against what they deem as ‘rakeback’ slander, implying that the OnGame Networks isn’t innocent of their own admonitions. An excerpt; “Nextpoker launched on Ongame in the summer of 2007 in the hope of joining a major, rakeback-free, network. It soon became clear that Ongame was far from rakeback-free.”

The statement goes on to speak of what it refers to as ‘special agreements’ between popular gambling websites and the OnGame Network administrators. According to the message, the Network itself is to be blamed for a competitive and occasionally nasty battle of bonuses that then results negatively for smaller-to-medium sized websites in the group. It claims that OnGame’s ‘agreements’ were the direct cause of rakeback offers to end customers on several sites, but never their own. Malta continues to claim their innocence while looking to find retribution for OnGame’s expulsion.
