Though the future of online gambling in the United States is not yet sure, skill gaming is legal and could well end up being the bridge needed to allow internet gambling firms to lay foundation work now for the inevitable time when legalization is possible. Titan Gaming, already recognized as a strong provider of multi-player skill games, is doing what it can to further strengthen their position in the market, as Digital Media Wire reported that the company has already raised $1 million in funding for future projects from investors. Based out of Los Angeles, California, Titan Gaming has listed their investors, partners and backing firms to include well known names in the online gambling industry such as Michael Robertson, who founded MP3.com; co-founder for Vonage, the communications corporation, Carlos Bhola; and Clearstone Venture Partners. The firm has made public their intention to grow dramatically in the field, and although their technical team currently employs only 24 engineers, that number is expected to jump in the future as the $1 million is put into action. Titan Gaming was founded in 2006, and has spent the last 4 years developing business – to – business relationships with a variety of internet gambling brands all over the world, partnering to provide not only skill game menus, but in the organization of special events such as skill-based match-making, tournaments and even cash competitions. They had confirmed the goal of $1 million met by investors, and revealed to the press that the majority of the funds will be spent on fine-tuning their software platforms, and securing mass distribution deals in the coming months. |
