The last week of May will surely see a flourish of excitement at the online casino Titan Poker, as the website and it’s affiliate iPoker Network announced this week that this year’s edition of the European Championship of Online Poker will launch. The 2010 events will mark the sixth anniversary of the online casino tournament, a main attraction for the smaller iPoker Network, powered by Playtech. Additionally, players will be excited to learn that the overall guaranteed prize pool will be more than $5 million. The European Championship of Online Poker, or fondly referred to as ECOOP by much of the internet gambling community, was introduced by Titan Poker in December of 2007. That first series saw a prize pool of just $2.5 million, with this year’s more than doubling with their $5.1 million promise. Members should prep for the first exciting event, as their kicking off the tournament in style, offering a $250,000 No Limit Hold’Em freezeout; subsequent events will include a variety of games, such as Pot Limit Omaha, 7-Card Stud, Limit Hold’Em and Omaha Hi/Lo. For players looking for something new and original, this season’s ECOOP will also include a Quadric event, allowing players to compete in four different tournaments, coming together to fight for a $100,000 prize pool. As has been the usual, the internet casino Titan Poker has confirmed that they will be setting up some qualifying games prior to May 24th for players to bypass the buy-ins with their wins. The Main Event has been scheduled for June 6th, sure to entice the best in the biz with a healthy prize pool of $1.5 alone. |
