Though most of the online gambling industry’s attention is currently on the newly liberalized French market, one internet casino group is still focused on last year’s prize, Italy. Intralot, a growing competitor in the market, confirmed this week that they have signed an agreement with the online gambling software provider, Net Entertainment. The pair has teamed up with exactly one goal in mind- the launch of a new platform of internet casino games directed towards the Italian market. Intralot’s interactive division signed the papers just this week, the last piece of red tape necessary to begin the initiative. The deal will allow for the integration of Net Entertainment’s Casino Module platform with the Intralot Interactive Gaming platform, finding a means by which both software systems can compliment and support each other in the providership of existing games and the launch of future favorites. Above all, the agreement stipulates the customer support backside, ensuring that Italian players using the system experience only a unified front, dedicated to providing the best online gambling experience the new market can offer. So long as the Italian efforts go well, provisions were also included in the contract that will allow the partnership to expand outside of Italy, opening up further opportunities for both companies to seek regulated gaming markets in new areas. As the two firms work on developing integrating software, Intralot is responsible for obtaining the licensing necessary to operate in Italy, newly regulated themselves just last year. "We welcome Net Entertainment as our online casino partner in Italy,” said George Zenzefilis, the general director for Intralot. “The CasinoModule will ensure that Intralot will offer a globally leading casino product to our player base. Through this partnership Intralot will be among the first to offer online casino games in Italy, after the upcoming liberalization of the market.” |
