The site saw its official launch in the middle of April, but word seems to be spreading only slowly throughout the market, making for a slow start. It is being managed by Intergame Limited, a firm licensed in Malta. Though right now it offers only a traditional selection of internet casino games, Intergame has said that they hope to expand their platform to offer both bingo and sports betting in the near future. “We would not even consider offering online gambling services in a market that is not fully regulated or where we do not hold a license to do so,” said chief executive officer Paul Herzfeld in response to inquiries about why the site will only be available to registered users out of the UK. Hermann Pamminger, company manager, echoed similar resolutions in saying that, “We have taken this step in order to ready ourselves for the time when there are more regulated jurisdictions. The next step will be an online casino in Belgium in conjunction with our land-based casino in Brussels.”
