Yet another favorite of the online gambling community has released the final numbers for the second half and year end reports for 2009, with the firm joining the small ranks of those companies celebrating the resulting numbers. Through dedication and a lot of hard work, Devilfish has managed to minimize their losses for the later part of 2009, sending sighs of relief through their investors.

Devilfish, which blasted onto the scene a number of years, backed by and the brainchild of the poker pro Dave Ulliott, has managed to reduce their pre-tax losses as well as set a momentum to increase sales. Their losses in 2008 and the first half of 2009 seem to have lit a fire under the online gambling firm's bottom, with changes made being effective enough to have doubled their user numbers.

Sales have doubled as well, show the final reports from last year, as the latter two quarter saw sales up to £476,248, a significant increase from 2008's £237,599 registered users for the online casino also jumped, doubling from the previous year's 8,000 players to the final roster in 2009 coming to 18,500. A solid five thousand of those players are regularly active in either cash or tournaments hosted on the Internet casino site.

The year end report filed gave notice not only of the positive results from their efforts on improvement for last year, but also assurances that it is the Board's intention to have the trend continue. Mergers, acquisitions, and B2B deals are all in the works for 2010.

CEO Paul Barnes commented, "We have continued to operate the business on a very low burn with little or no spend on marketing, whilst we pursue the agreed strategic course of growth via strategic investments and partnerships," said Paul Barnes, the chief executive officer for Dragonfish.

The upcoming months will geared towards ensuring the success of a new partnership with the German online gambling group, Gauselmann. The collaboration has been agreed upon to provide a new platform of online bingo services to the Dragonfish brand. Provided it goes well, a new sports betting product should follow, though a target date for the project has yet to be determined.
