The interesting element that set this Microgaming deal apart from other agreements made by the powerful internet gambling company, was not only the rare privilege to license the goods as Betware’s own, but also the hush-hush element associated when the news first hit online gambling news circles. Many internet casino analysts believe that the lack of transparency might have something to do with the introduction of a third party angle for the Microgaming products: though the parent company has made itself somewhat a reputation for avoiding the US market at all costs, Betware has made no such promises, opening up the possibility that online casinos servicing American players could well find a loophole to access Microgaming games without violating the host firm’s avoidance of the market.

No mention nor response has been made by Microgaming in regards to the possible future access to Microgaming games through the third party licensing agreements. One internet casino has already made good on the opportunity, as Casino-Share.com has reported loaded Microgaming games while still accepting US players. The success of the measure is expected to result in more contracts for similar goods through Betware, an arrangement that very clearly benefits both parties while exploiting the loopholes associated with the US prohibition against online casinos.

“We are delighted to be able to license our casino games to Betware, which is truly a market leader in its field,” said Roger Raatgever, the chief executive officer for Microgaming, deftly avoiding the meat of the arrangement. “Betware’s long history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into exciting new territories and markets. We look forward to a long and successful working relationship.”
