Though the brand names for software provided by Boss Media, GTech G2, and Gaming VC have become well known in recent months by the online gambling community, the partnerships forged between the three companies have become somewhat strained in recent weeks. According to rumors, unless two key disputes can find happy resolution, the future of the business-to-business contracts could be at the very least uncertain, throwing doubt onto the security of their corresponding internet casinos. One of the arguments plaguing the firms is in relation to Gaming VC’s claim that their rights to their intellectually property has been infringed upon. Gaming VC is in dispute with Boss Media, having made their concerns that the intellectual property in question should be in the sole control and use of Gaming VC. Boss Media has not yet satisfactorily responded to the claims, further exacerbating the situation and preventing resolution. According to Gaming VC’s annual results, an answer to the claim is absolutely necessary for them to move forward: “If the dispute is not resolved, Court proceedings will be instituted,” read the report, drafted by the company’s chief executive officer, Kenneth Alexander. “The dispute is subject to legal, professional privilege. The Group is also in dispute with Boss over the ability of Boss to terminate a contract for services to the Betaland business." Making matters worse is the secondary issue, a concern in regards to the cancellation of software and operatorship services offered by Gaming VC to former partner Boss Media. Apparently, the decision by Boss Media to prematurely cancel their contract with the online gambling firm has resulted in a claim by Gaming VC for substantial damages. The claim has been filed in the courthouse at Malta, with further details promised as they become available. Gaming VC is now saying that their future plans with the expansion of their internet gambling market outside of their existing German market are being significantly hindered by the two disputes. |
