With online gambling companies racing to make the first big moves in the newly liberalized French market, internet casino firms are working hard to secure the best and most fruitful deals for themselves in terms of partnering with strong domestic corporations, as mandated by the new online gambling regulations. The latest to have made their choice in mate has been that of Party Gaming, which announced this week that they have signed their second contract with a French partner, agreeing to a multi-year agreement with AB Groupe, one of the nation’s leaders in television broadcasting.

The partnership with AB Groupe will provide exclusive rights to Party Gaming for a new white label poker service, to be branded Lucky Jeux. The online casino will join the ranks of Party Poker.fr, their existing France-directed poker website, in a growing network of poker games and websites. The agreement with AB Groupe will still need to be ratified with the security of a gambling license for the domain name, but once the site is up and operational, both Lucky Jeux and Party Poker.fr will benefit from shared pool of poker players, all of which will enjoy the convenience and ease of a single platform.

The choice of AB Groupe as a partner is being hailed as a scrupulous one, as the cross-marketing possibilities with the national television station will have little to no boundaries. The Groupe already enjoys more than 52 million paid subscribers to their services across France. They offer 15 paid subscription channels including RTL9, AB1 and AB MOTEURS, which are available in the homeland as well as other French-speaking nations. Taking full advantage of the partnership, Lucky Jeux is expected to be heavily promoted on all of the AB Groups available channels, as well as online.

“AB Groupe is a first rate addition to our French poker network and is consistent with our stated strategy of combining B2C and B2B offerings in newly regulated markets,” said Jim Ryan, the CEO for Party Gaming. “Together with our recently announced alliance with PMU, we are in great shape ahead of the market opening and are excited about our prospects.”
