An update has become available on the latest progression of the Million Dollar Challenge between poker player professionals Tom ‘durrr’ Dwan and Patrik Antonius. The pair seems to be getting anxious for the end of the contest, as undoubtedly many in the online gambling community are, as the Challenge eclipses its first anniversary and moves into its second year. And the duo still has a long way to go.

Nonetheless, online casino Full Tilt Poker no doubt enjoys the attention that rallies around the two when they sign on to continue their heads up, each vying more for the fame than the million dollar prize of beating the other. Initiated by Dwan, Antonius was the only one to accept a long-term challenge to determine the better poker player, and the two continue to match up playing hand after hand, slowly moving towards the 50,000 goal.

Antonius seems to be having a very hard time catching up to Dwan’s advantage. His run of bad luck continued this week, adding additional funds lost in what has so far been a bad year. It has been estimated that the Swede has lost as much as $3.2 million at the internet gambling site Full Tilt, mostly on the high-roller tables. This week’s addition of another 364 hands to the Million Dollar Challenge showed no change in his luck, as he was down $342,157 by the end of the night.

According to Market Pulse, the independent statistic tracker, they played for only an hour before signing off, with Dwan stretching his lead to $1,755,708 in the contest. The Challenge has been 66 percent completed, but Antonius still has another 17,000 hands in order to win back the lead. The biggest pot came to $213,000 and was won by Dwan.
