A different sort of contract has been drawn up between a well-known online gambling software provider, GTech G2, and a company that focuses specifically on designing defenses for the internet e-commerce community, including internet casinos. Iovation is a company that designed supplementary products and services to prevent online fraud and abuse, and will be a key piece to GTech’s future in securing their online casino platforms from infiltration. The agreement signed by the two companies will see Gtech’s Finsoft subsidiary see a good portion of the benefit in the beginning, as they will be among the first recipients of the device reputation technology as well as their real time risk management services for transactions and databases, further protecting the interests of both the internet casino operators and the betting customers themselves. Within Finsoft, Margin Maker will integrate Iovation’s Reputation Manager to their existing platform, upgrading their sports betting products in the coming weeks. Margin Maker customers will now be able to more easily expose cyber crooks with the computer recognition tools provided, keeping close tabs on suspicious behavior from different ISP addesses. Iovation has published that they keep track of the world’s largest database of fraud histories, giving them a deep understanding of irregular betting patterns as well as other clues. Online gamblers will inevitably benefit from the additional protection, as a more collection and thorough resource of fraud information will be to their advantage. Predrag Popovic, the chief technology officer for GTech G2, and acting chief executive officer for subsidiary Finsoft said, “The service provided by Iovation has proven itself to be extremely successful for so many companies in the online betting industry it absolutely makes sense for us to include it in our fraud management process.” |
