Stability is one element of business that all the big players in the online gambling industry have in common – names like Ladbrokes, William Hill, Party Casino, even Paddy Poker, have been there, have been regular and reliable, and give their members a sense of confidence that their information and money are safe with powerhouses that cannot disappear on a whim. One internet gambling site in particular apparently has yet to learn this valuable lesson, as PokerHost.com announced to their customers this week that they will be moving networks – for the third time. No documentation can prove it, but it can certainly be supposed that players who have frequented the online casino have got to be fed up with uninstalling and reinstalling the program each time the site decides to move. Operated by parent company SBG Global, the online poker site PokerHost.com has been online since 2005, and began offering traditional internet casino games a year later. They were initially a member site to the Microgaming Poker Network, and then just last year made the switch to the Cake Poker Network. Now, it seems that Cake wasn’t all they had hope it would be, as PokerHost has announced they will uproot and change alliances to the Merge Poker Network. Merge sets itself apart from competitors by being friendly to US-players, an element apparently important in the agreement of the new contract. "We are delighted to have come to an agreement with the ownership of PokerHost.com,” said Anthony Taylor, the chief executive officer of Merge. This deal will bring even more liquidity to the network and add continued growth to our network.” They expect to have transferred all player accounts to the new services by the end of March, with all of the same promises in terms of security of information and funds made as expected. |
