Though the Greeks tend to be a pain in the online gambling community’s side, insisting on their continued domination of OPAP monopoly rather than conceding to the reality that the perversion of internet casinos is too deep to be ignored, one Greek man in particular is happy to have circumvented their favortist ways, and benefited by winning big at the Bet-at-Home.com online casino. The player, known as Georgios A, won the Mega Fortune Progressive Jackpot at the site this week, turning his €2.50 bet into a €3,015,906 profit.

The 28-year old is by far and large the biggest winner for the website, confirmed by Bet-at-Home International’s chief executive officer, Jochen Dickinger. He has since chosen to have his last name remain unknown, in the hopes that doing so will slow the family, friends and neighbors from clamoring at his good fortune. He called himself a regular player at the internet casino, signing on often to try for the luck that Georgios has now struck.

"At first, I could not believe I had cracked the jackpot" said the newest member of Greece's millionaires' club. "I couldn't help staring at the monitor in disbelief. It took me a while to realise, but right now, I'm simply happy. I'm not quite sure what I will do with the money. I might buy a house and a new car. I also want to help my relatives.”

Bet-at-Home.com International is one of the member sites of the Mangas Gaming Group, based out of France. The internet gambling group hosts more than 1.8 million registered players, based mostly in Europe. The firm is listed publicly on both the Vienna and Frankfurt stock exchanges.
