Though Microgaming has made no big moves in the French market, and has said that they will not until the fine print can be more closely examined, one of the online gambling giant’s associate companies signed a deal this week that will put them in prime position to law some groundwork. Spiral Solutions Limited has teamed up with the Santa – Maria Group to create a new subsidiary, branded Spiral Solutions France.

The original Spiral Solutions is known for their providership of mobile gaming technology, bringing the classic appeal of online casino games to the convenience of hand-held phones and mobile devices. Santa – Maria currently distributes Bally games and systems within French borders, to land based casinos and will make for an ideal partner in the new venture for the French mobile sector. They will base their operations out of Paris, offering a specialty business-to-business service for emerging poker companies in the French market.

The leadership team will glean from both partners, with the general manager for the Santa – Maria group stepping in as head executive. Christophe Santa – Maria has already announced that Spiral Solutions France has already had the good fortune to sign their first client, though he declined to say who. The new venture’s blend of experience with ingenuity will be appealing to those in the field. Regulatory analysis, consulting, business management, marketing, customer retention services, training programs, and a French language customer service center are all on the docket.

Their associate company, Microgaming, will also play a part as their domination in the worldwide online gambling industry isn’t lost either. The company’s high quality software will come in very handy in future deals and evolutions, a fact that no doubt has not escaped Santa – Maria’s mind. They seem enthusiastic about the venture, able to keep their toes in the water without the commitment of pursuing licensing themselves, just yet.

“We have experienced great success with Spiral Solutions in markets all over the world," said Roger Raatgever, chief executive officer of Microgaming. "We are delighted, in conjunction with 888, to be able to provide them with the technical solution for the French market.”
