Though the month of June has been a relatively quiet time for the usually busy GTech G2 online gambling company, finally an update has become available for the progressive company as they announced a deal in Romania that will see the internet casino group branching out into the land division of the gambling industry. According to the press release, an agreement has been struck with existing Bet Arena Cafes in Romania, most of which center around the busy hub of Budapest. The deal was struck after just three months of developing the new platform designed specially for land based café such as those offered by Bet Arena. The deal could be significant for GTech, allowing them a new venture in Eastern Europe to grow, a region of the world still in development in term of online gambling. The installation of the first four hundred of the new sports betting programs are scheduled for this summer. The agreement states that GTech G2 will now be a provider for a full range of sports betting products to the Bet Arena Café outlets in Romania, gambling hubs designed to cater to the industry under secure regulation. GTech’s Margin Maker platform will be the basis for the programs, which will include odds compilation, risk management and customer support. The advantage comes with partnering specifically with Bet Arena, as the company already enjoys a strong reputation for successful shops in Budapest. “Romania has long been viewed as a key Eastern European territory for Lottomatica Group and GTech G2,” said the firm’s president Paulo Personeni. “I am delighted that we now have a strong partner and presence in this rapidly growing market. I firmly believe that Bet Arena Cafes experience in the Romanian retail sector coupled with our proprietary sports betting market solutions and services expertise, will enable us to hit our aggressive roll out and market share targets.” |
