Come mid-June, a new gaming service will be introduced to the rest of the internet casino community by On Live, which confirmed this week the impending launch of their freshest model of online gambling platforms. The group, based out of Palo Alto, said that the new service will fall into a neat loophole in the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006, the prohibition law in the US that continues to plague and hinder the growing internet gambling market in America. It will do so by offering a subscription based service that allows members access to video gaming. It’s a similar tune being sung by Virgin Games, which agrees that video gaming is the next innovation in internet gambling. The new On Live service will only be charging their members $9.95 a month, a low introductory price that they hope will grow the membership base quickly. One of their investor companies has been identified as AT&T, who will be offering a promotion including one free year’s subscription to the new On Live service, expanding the market. Once a member, players will have to buy access to games as well, which can be purchases in full, or rented online for a specific amount of time. Prices for the games will range an additional $5 to $9 a piece. Some of the top brands in video gaming have already been listed and confirmed by the company for their initial lineup. The selection passed the tests of the beta-testing participants, with more than 25,000 gamers trying out the system. An extensive pre-launch testing trial was completed with great success, and each of the gamers rewarded with a free year of service for their time. |
