The story was further flushed out by NJ.com, which clarified that the person taken into custody was none other than Brian R Cohen, believed to be the head of their online gambling operations. He was arrested in Buffalo, New York as he arrived on a flight back to the US from Costa Rica. He is being held on money laundering and gambling promotion charges. Officials claim that the operation has processed more than $2.2 billion in bets over a 15 month period. Cohen’s return from Costa Rica was unsurprising, as the wagers have been traced to be routed through a wire room in the country, where conveniently, Cohen has residence. "We have indicted the top echelon of this criminal organization in both New York and New Jersey, and we continue to charge key players in their multibillion-dollar gambling operation,” said a representative for the involved authorities, Stephen Taylor, the director of New Jersey’s Division of Criminal Justice. “"[Cohens] arrest represents another significant milestone in our major prosecution of this New York-based crime family.”
