The start of the FIFA World Cup tournament of soccer in South Africa is an event that has long been looked forward to by the online gambling industry, as internet casinos and their fellow sports betting sites have prepared for the (hopeful) influx of money that some experts have said will top the record charts in terms of wagers made. Companies from far and wide have prepped for the beginning of this most lucrative period of the year, with even the most new members of the internet gambling community making sure they are ready to profit from the period. France, for example, has made public that they intend to have their regulations together, decided upon, and active by the time the tournament begins. According to a report by RapidTV, the online gambling regulator, ARJEL has already made their way through 20 applications for licenses to operate in the newly liberalized French market. Because there are only 30 licenses available, the rush is understandable, as the stakes are so high to literally equal millions of dollars in profits. ARJEL went so far as to promise that the first few agreements to chosen, approved, and regulated online gambling firms were to be out the first ten days of June, in plenty of time to capitalize on the French constituents looking to buy into wagering on the World Cup. to be continued in Firms Rush for World Cup - 2 |
