Acquisitions such as the purchases of established brands like Cashcade and the World Poker Tour have also made a significant difference. The revenue will be up a solid 28 percent, though the good news came with a warning that total profits could be down slightly from the first quarter numbers, as online poker activity saw a slight drop of business of about 9 percent. Apparently, sports gamblers did particularly well with their guesses for the World Cup as well, putting an unfortunate dent into that department’s earnings.
