Yet another partnership has been forged this week, setting a standard for the new year, full of agreements and contracts. The very latest comes from the former French online gambling monopoly, Pari Mutuel Urbain and the national football federation, the Federation Francaise de Football. (FFF) The pairing is catching the attention of many in the internet gambling world, who are all eagerly looking forward to the closely impending liberation of the French online gambling industry.

The new sponsorship agreement has been signed for the next four years, giving plenty of time for Pari Mutuel to forge an unbendable relationship with the professional football league. Pari Mutuel currently has registered more than 10,000 different retail venues for sports betting products, as well as the financial strength of a turnover that reached €9.3 billion last year. The new deal with FFF is a perfect fit for PMU, putting them one step ahead of like competitors in the French market, such as the energy giant GDF Suez, the bank Credit Agricole, and Adidas.

The timing is still on the advantageous side- although the World Cup competitions are already under way, it comes mid-year with plenty of action still to be had in the football leagues to go. As the final events come closer in South Africa for 2010, PMU expects to increase their coverage for the events, maximizing exposure for their online gambling website. Coverage for both the Eurosport and TFI networks is also a primary focus. The agreement closely follows another major partnership agreement made, for five years with Paddy Power, the land and online casino mogul company out of Ireland.
