It seems that with the new year follows all sorts of changes, even in the internet gambling industry. A shift of power over at Mirada Gaming is an excellent example, as three new non-executive directors have been added to the Board of Directors, giving the team some fresh insight as they decide how to grow within and tackle the upcoming months. The three newest names to the team are those of Javier Casanueva, Carlos Vizcayno, and Francisco Javier Herrero. Cassanueva is currently acting as partner for the Baring Private Equity Partners Espana S.A. and has worked with in the industry in both Europe and North America. Vizcayno has a legal background and brings to the table experience from having served as General Counsel for many companies over the years. Herrero brings a wealth of contacts and expansion opportunities, as an experienced CFO. The firm also announced their recent slash in costs, bringing their losses down in the last six months to more manageable numbers. According to the most recent stats, their EBITDA was down to just £109,000 below, compared to last year’s loss of more than £500K. Mirada Gaming holds a unique position in the internet gambling world, bridging online casino software with live television broadcasting through their platform. One of the most popular products is their Bingo line, which is to be credited for both the success of Gala TV and iTV’s Live Bingo Night. Mirada’s online casino, the Mirada Monte Carlo also hosts a virtual dealer version for the classic game Roulette. Mirada Gaming also provides the back-office support system necessary for effective operation of their software products. |
