With the close of the year, the submission deadline for eCOGRA’s claim investigations for the Grand Prive Affiliate Program also ended. A grad total of 58 new claims were received since the e-Commerce Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance agreed to step in to mediate the issues, which have developed over the last year. The deadline closed after weeks of opportunity were provided by eCOGRA for internet gambling affiliates to report their financial claims on Grand Prive following the companies closure of partnership contracts. Claims are now being individually reviewed for merit, and affiliates will be contacted in the very near future. The preliminary screening process will likely be the most painful step in the verification, as unsubstantiated claims will have to be filtered out, and research into monetary data completed. The CEO for eCOGRA, which plays as a third party watchdog for most of the internet gambling industry, made a statement to update the community on the latest Grand Prive information, with Andrew Beveridge saying, "We will shortly begin the full analysis and assessment of claims using a range of information from the Grand Privé Affiliates Program database, your personal claim and the very constructive and useful feedback that we have received from affiliates and other interested parties advocating on behalf of the affiliate community.” Beveridge is playing a major role in the investigations, taking the case on personally, and shouldering the responsibility of its resolution with fellow senior auditor Sean Roberts. In that effort, all claimants were contacted immediately following the closure of the submittal date, December 31, keeping affiliates apprised of the situation as it develops. Beveridge also stated in the update that eCOGRA will be going to Grand Prive headquarters next in their investigation making sure that the inquiry is as comprehensive as possible. |
