They may be few and far between, but they happen. We’re talking about online casino jackpots, my friends.

The world’s first online $100,000 multi-player slot tournament has found a winner, as announced by All Jackpots Online, an internet member of the jackpot Factory Group. As an online gambling site, they’ve announced the win by a North American player who beat out 1,491 other players in the tourney to become the proud owner of the $50,000 grand prize. He’d been playing for 12 days when his luck finally came through.

The remaining $50K of the grand prize was split amongst 299 of the top players in the tournament.

The site confidentiality statutes refrain them from providing the winner’s personal information, other than his log-on as Mike K. Mike was identified as a rookie player to the site, but evidently with fate on his side; he totaled 53,775 points in the half-hour tournament in the slot machine dominated by the Lara Croft Tomb Raider character.
David Brickman, spokesman for the Jackpot Factory Group, speaking in conjunction with All Jackpots Casino publicly congratulated the virtual Mike K with gracious words. “We’re so excited for him, and wish him only the best.” Reps went on to thank all the players that made the tournament a success, and promised subsequent and comparable games and competitions to follow in the near future, though they didn’t know if upcoming events would match the success of the first. “The $100K multi-player slot tournament ranks as one of the most exciting events in the online casino industry this year.”

The slot games included in the tournament were Avalon, Thunderstruck, Loaded, and of course, winner Lara croft. All software was provided by Microgaming. All Jackpots Casino boasts 350 online casino games, 21 progressive jackpots, and lead the industry in slot tournaments.
