What would you do? Although such a question often is considered by individuals, many jokingly, when it comes to gambling, one company actually took the steps to find out the answers. Even more interestingly, they structured the poll to distinguish differences between how men and women differ when it comes to winning.

LittlewoodsBingo.com’s study actually had some surprising discoveries. The study, participated in by 3,000 people in the United Kingdom (the majority of which listed Grat Britain as their home) was designed to elicit answers for questions in regards to intentions based on the situation in which a person won a substantial amount of money- a lottery of jackpot of any kind.

The most startling fact to be brought to light was the fact that two thirds of the participants admitted that they would leave their partners if they won a large sum of money, designated as an amount greater than one million pounds ($1,970,859.42) Other fun facts?

Men are more likely than women to keep the secret winnings to themselves, not revealing even the existence of their jackpot with their spouses at all.

A majority of people, 66%, would change residences if they came suddenly into a lot of money. But not necessarily just for fun. Most said it would be a way to get away from their neighbors.

20% of those surveyed would take a full fledged trip around the world, while the majority said they would at least take a vacation.

Finally, the poll uncovered a difference between what men and women considered to be a “jackpot:” men were revealed to need more money in order to consider it “life-changing.” Women, however, were far less likely than men to share their wealth with their families, if they were ever to win a great sum.
