Carsten Frein, boss of MyLotto24.com, has made plans along with many other internet casinos to fight the new Germany ban of online gambling. Frein has announced that top lawyers have confirmed that the ban is unconstitutional under both German and European Union law.

These top constitutional lawyers are Professor Bodo Pieroth and Professor Hermes among others. The European Union and the German Monopolies Commission have also taken up a clear stance in this sense as it is confirmed that the treaty is in breach of the German constitution and European law.

Carsten Frein has threatened legal action, but so have a large amount of others, namely Bwin and Fluxx, in what is seemingly becoming a shouting match. His criticism of international litigation stands against the sixteen German states that passed the ban. The impact to the business in the United Kingdom, where Carsten Frein’s company is located, will be nonexistent. However it is the restrictions in MyLotto.com’s marketing communications in Germany that are being affected. Because of this Carsten Frein is now front headed the campaign to see an end to the ban. Germany continues to refuse a release on gambling communications until a decision has been released in court.

The ban that Germany passed less than a week ago prohibits anyone in the country to use the internet to gamble. That includes any internet casino or poker room. It does exclude any kind of wager game set up by the government such as a lottery or sweepstakes.
