It seems that this week is all about moves for online gambling’s poker networks. Eight new rooms have been added recently to the growing Cake Poker Network, including a new addition developed under the sponsorship of international poker ace Phil ‘The Unabomber’ Laak. Laak is well known throughout the online gambling community for his poker play, and has taken his notoriety to a new level with the launch of Unabomber Poker.com. Laak recently won NBC’s Poker After Dark for the second time, and makes a famous new addition to the Cake Poker Network as it gathers momentum. Launched in 2006, the Cake Network has geared up its development in the last year, experiencing significant growth. In addition to the Unabomber Poker online gambling site, seven other poker venues have signed on for membership in the Cake Network. They include 7Win Poker.com; RedBack Poker.com; Amsterdams Poker.com; Safari Poker (available through Safari’s online casino at keyword poker); Dimeline poker; Rags2Riches; and Burro Poker.com. More operators are still in negotiations to join the burgeoning network. "We knew we wanted to launch the sickest poker site possible," said Laak. "By joining a network that focuses on player rewards and accepts players world-wide we knew we would be starting out on the right track. I love getting involved from the ground up. I'm even blogging regularly on the site at Unabomber Poker.com/Blog." "The addition of Unabomber Poker to the Cake Network is a cause for great excitement," a Cake Network spokesperson said. "Phil's enthusiasm for the game is infectious and brings a great energy to the network." |
