A contract between two relatively well-recognized online gambling companies has been expanded this week, demonstrating a strength of industry recovery as many other markets continue to struggle with set-backs caused by the worldwide economic crisis. It was confirmed to the internet gambling press this week that the UK-based interactive firm NetPlayTV has chosen to further develop their agreements with the second biggest commercial television broadcaster in Scotland, STV. The news makes for a very busy month for Netplay, as they also recently announced they would be moving home base very soon, relocating to London offices.

The agreement signed between the companies will add another two years onto their existing agreement, an obvious choice for a partnership that clearly works for both parties. The deal also includes a stipulation to add television coverage throughout the entirety of the week, bringing NetPlayTV to viewers and online gamblers in Scotland with far more frequency than ever before. STV reaches more than 4 million viewers every month.

One of the key television shows to benefit from the newly drawn contract will be that of Challenge Jackpot, one of the most popular programs already offered on NetPlay TV’s menu. Existing coverage on a number of networks offered by the broadcaster will be expanded, including shows on Virgin and the Bravo channels. The contract covers all possible fields for penetration, said NetPlayin, including television as well as press and cinema advertising campaigns.

"We will be able to offer a much improved service offering, a wider range of games, and jackpots,” said
Martin Higginson, chief executive at NetPlayTV. “Furthermore by adding more broadcast channels to this service we are able to improve the quality of the TV show, further differentiating ourselves as the leading interactive TV gaming company.” The Alderney Gambling Commission is listed as the regulatory body for NetPlay TV, which also enjoys similar contracts with broadcasting companies such as Virgin Media Television, Sky, Free Sat, and Channel Five.
