Following their successfully showing at London’s IGE-ICEi exposition late last month, the online gambling software developer out of South Africa Kiron Interactive has announced the finality of their agreement with the UK Barcrest Group, a well known division of the IGT-UK. The two companies used their time at the conference to flesh out some ideas and possible contract points before confirming this week that an agreement had been reached to pair off the duo for some exciting new projects.

The first order of business has been the launch of the Kiron’s virtual horseracing game ‘Dashing Derby,’ for the licensed betting office market (LBO), setting the stage for Barcrest to add more innovative games to their UK portfolio. ‘Dashing Derby’ will soon be available on all the Lara terminals hosted throughout the region by Barcrest. The fixed-odds, on demand game has proven to be especially popular as an alternative to live horse races (when they’re unavailable), allowing bettors to actively wager on virtual horse based on stats and luck.

"We are very happy to have worked with Barcrest Group in implementing Dashing Derby on their platform and in turn introducing the product into the UK LBO market,” said one of Kiron’s co-founders, Steven Spartinos, who currently acts as the firm’s director. “The game offers high end race graphics and high paced betting action which we are confident will be well received by LBO customers." Conleth Byrne, director of sales for the licensed betting office agreed, saying, “"We are delighted to add Kiron's virtual horse racing game to our suite of games. Dashing Derby's ease of play and attractive graphics are sure to make it a popular game on our Lara terminal."
