The tournament is set to launch on September 5th, with the first event being a $200 buy-in No Limit Hold’em six-max game, carrying a guaranteed prize pool of $1.25 million. And even better, its only the first of three initial tournaments with seven figure pools. The Series will launch with three big games, and close with similar ones. On September 26th, another set of big money poker games will take place on the Poker Stars online casino, starting with a $200 buy-in No Limit Hold’Em game, hosting a $1.5 million guaranteed prize pool. Following that will be both a $10,000 eight Game High Roller Two Day, with a million in the pool, and the $5,000 buy-in No Limit Hold’Em Main Event, to take place over two days, and offering up $10 million in prizes. It’s a surge of growth for the Series as a whole, increasing from last year’s 45 events, that generated a prize pool of $51 million. The 2009 Main Event was taken by Yevgeny Timoshenko, who walked with a grand prize of $1.72 million.
