It seems that the late summer of 2010 is turning out to be a season of changes and improvements, with yet another internet gambling company announcing the launch of an upgrade. This week’s news comes from the online poker website PKR.com, an internet casino site that is licensed through Alderney and operates primarily within the UK market. They specialize in 3-dimensional internet poker, and since their launch in 2006, have already seen a number of updates, but the one planned for this month will have been the biggest re-development project in their four years of business.

The new programming is officially the second version of their software, deemed V 2.0 for that very reason. The company is already a favorite among online gamblers; their advantage lies with the fact that PKR was one of the first firms to jump onto the 3D bandwagon, and one of the first in the online gambling industry as a whole to delve into programming for 3D dimensional graphics as well as interactive gaming features and fully customizable avatars to personalize the experience.

The new programming takes all that players love about PKR.com and takes it to a new level, using their strong foundation with gamblers as the base from which Version 2.0 was built. Now, avatars seem even more life-like, using body language seamlessly, complete with facial expressions, and poker tells. The characters now even can use cheap tricks to try to gain an advantage over their competitors!

Playability it also something that has seen improvement, with new features being included, such as a multi-table option that allows poker players to gamble at up to nine tables at the same time without even switching screens! The programming is so advatnaced that additionally, six of the games can remain 3D without any issues. Preferences abound, ranging from chat inclinations, to the addition of national flags.

"The whole look and feel has changed. We've designed it from the ground up. It's much more accessible and fun to use,” said Leon Walters, the head of development over at PKR.com. "We listened to what poker players said about the multi-tabling and have responded to that. It's quicker, slicker…far more attractive. It looks much more contemporary. We're developing lots of industry firsts, lots of tournament and cash game innovations."
