Though a lot of the internet gambling
world’s attention is currently being paid to France and their newly
liberalized market, the industry in Italy is still ramping up as more
companies apply for and receive licenses to operate. Among the leaders and
most well known brands is Playtech, which announced this week the
acquisition of two more contracts to add sites to their Italian bingo
network. The two sites to have reportedly signed loyalty agreements have been listed as EuroBet and Snai, well-recognized operators in other part of the European gambling industry. The operators are not quite up and running on the network quite yet, but with the ink drying on paper, the updates are expected in the very near future. It’s a huge move for Playtech, which is in the middle of developing the first bingo network to service the Italian market. Other news was implied by the Playtech spokesman, who said that additional deal were in the making, including yet another major brand, which already reportedly carries a number of interests in the Italian industry, though the name of such a firm has not yet been disclosed. This week’s additions of both Snai and EuroBet should be plenty to keep players interested, adding a significant level of liquidity to the developing membership. Both operators carry an impressive selection of benefits, including networked games in a wide variety, multiple new game rooms and plenty of social chat options to connect gamblers across the world. “Playtech's bingo activities are making excellent progress across the board,” said Mor Weizer, the chief executive for Playtech in a statement related to the announcement. “It underlines our strategic focus on geographical and product diversification into additional regulated markets. Playtech is in active discussions with additional Italian bingo operators and expects to add more licensees in the coming few months." |
