For those looking to break into the online gambling world in terms of employment, an opportunity is arising related to one of the world’s leaders in internet casino action. Betfair is apparently looking to expand their IT team, giving a shout out to those who consider themselves experts in the field, as they hope to add another 90 IT technicians to their ranks in the coming months.

An article in this week’s Computer Weekly is helping put the call out to techies all over the world, looking for specialists in a number of computer software programming, such as Java, C#, C++, and SQL Server. Outsourcing consultants are also on the list of ‘wants, as well as internet security specialists and quality assurance agents.

Though officially the online gambling company has only said that they will be hiring 90 new techs, they have also opened up employees to act as database administrators, though in that particular area, experience working with high volume transactions and systems is a must. The internet casino company has also expanded heavily into the sports gambling sector, and with more than nine billion page views registered over the course of the World Cup games, it became apparent that more power behind the systems was desperately needed.

Resumes with previous experience in sports betting or the internet gambling industry will be given special consideration, though the company’s spokesman was clear to say that applications without are still encouraged. Information analysts and designers are also among those to be hired, as Betfair joins the rest of the online gambling industry is developing a simplified version of their services for mobile gaming.
