Yet another online gambling group had
the relief and privilege this week of announcing good results to their
investors, with the confirmation that revenues across the board were up at
Bet-at-Home. The site, a subsidiary online casino linked with the French
online gambling group Mangas Gaming, said that their first quarter of 2010
saw a 35 percent increase in gross earnings, compared with the same period
in 2009. That means that the category saw a healthy growth of more than a
third of last years success, with said earnings reaching 13.8 million.
Bet-at-Home is fast becoming a more recognizable name in the internet gambling community, as they are one of few that offer up not only online casino games, but also a complete platform for sports betting. The numbers completed and finalized for the first quarter confirm their success: profit was up to 2.6 million, a jump of 38 percent from the previous year. Similarly, asset wealth was also up, worth more than 25.4 million by the end of the quarter, an increase of 18 percent from 2009. Turnover was up by 76 percent to 314.5 million, with the gross revenues associated with their gaming division soaring an incredible 54 percent to 13.8 million on a year-on-year basis. EBITDA was up, increasing from a measly 250,000 to 2.61 million for 2010. Their spenditure in relation to advertising and marketing could be credited for the increases in all other categories, as the report showed that 6.7 million was spent on marketing, up 8.9 percent from the same period in 2009. It was certainly effective, however, with management reporting that membership of registered used had surpassed 1.9 million. |
