Report - 1 A new online store was introduced to the website, and the distinctive 3-dimensional version of 888’s casino was also launched, giving players looking for innovation no reason to go anywhere else. The virtual world has been reviewed as one of the closest experiences that one can have in the world of online gambling, with a selection of blackjack, roulette and other casinos games, complete with customizable avatars to play. By far, some of the largest successes to be hailed in this year’s second quarter / first half report are accredited to Dragonfish, 888.com’s business-to-business subsidiary, a brand that is fast becoming well respected in their own right among online gambling experts. One of the most recent pieces of news has come in relation to the newly liberalized Italian gaming market, as Dragonfish signed an agreement to work with Microgame SpA, offering up a new comprehensive online casino platform. Other big contracts earned by Dragonfish over the last year include one with the UK’s division of MTV networks, which also covers Ireland. They will be providing the duo with a new bingo offering, one of the first ventures into online gambling for MTV. Extensions were agreed to for both Costa Bingo and Moon Bingo, with initial launches of a number of standalone online bingo sites, including Sing Bingo and Rollover Bingo, bringing the total number of standalone bingo networks powered by Dragonfish to an impressive 20. Commenting on the report, CEO Gigi Levy said: “Trading throughout this period has been challenging, impacted by a number of factors including general online poker weakness, adverse F/X and, in relation to Poker and Casino, the World Cup,” said the chief executive officer for Dragonfish, Gigi Levy. “However, we have seen resilience in our emerging offering, especially Sport throughout the World Cup, and we continue to refresh our B2C offering to attract and retain players.” |
