As the American markets begin to show signs of home from the economic crash that has plagued the world for the last two years, the online gambling market as well is showing signs of growth and resurgence in unlikely places. Some of the most popular, and subsequently, largest internet casino companies have been kept relatively safe from the effects of the recession, but the smaller groups felt the stress rather acutely. One of those blooming software providers, Merge Gaming, has met their goals to expand once again, hoping that their trend analyses are on target.

The newest surge of growth has been scheduled to be completed by the end of April of this year with the highlights primarily surrounding the poker additions to the Merge network. According to the statement, both Players Only and Sports Book.com have decided to abandon their current affiliations to join the Merge Poker Network. They are only the latest to do so, with a number of other online casino groups announcing their intention to switch in recent weeks as well.

The addition of Sports Book.com and Players Only.com will serve to increase the player liquidity enjoyed by the site in a major way, meaning more customers to fill up and frequent the tables. Not only is it good for Merge’s bottom line, but a poker network with more players means a deeper pool of competition, something that regular poker gamblers tend to look for in a membership site. Some estimate that the addition of the two sites could mean that the membership will increase five times over.

Merge Network is one of only a few poker networks that still openly welcomes players from the US, a population of gamblers that have plenty of skills as well as funds to bring to the virtual tables. Merge recently announced that they will be increasing the rakeback rate to 35 percent, an increase of 5 percent, also to take place with the growth spurt this April. Compared to the rest of the market, Merge is ranked as the 20th on the Poker Scout independent rating scale.
